55MM Circular Polarising Filter

The Tiffen 55mm Circular Polarising Filter is an essential optical accessory for photographers who want to eliminate unwanted reflections, deepen blue skies, and produce richer, more saturated colours straight out of camera. Manufactured in the USA by Tiffen one of the world's most trusted optical filter brands since 1938 this 55mm CPL filter uses ColorCore technology, a process that fuses optical-quality glass with the filter dye to ensure consistent colour accuracy, zero delamination, and long-term durability.

The circular polarising design is fully compatible with autofocus systems, making it the practical choice for both stills and video shooters who need polarising control without switching to manual focus.Fitted to any 55mm lens thread, this filter dramatically cuts glare from water, glass, and wet surfaces, making it indispensable for landscape, travel, street, and product photography.

Rotating the outer ring adjusts the degree of polarisation, giving you precise control over reflections and contrast in the field. The filter reduces light transmission by approximately 1.5 stops, which is easily compensated for in-camera, and its slim, low-profile ring minimises vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

Compatible with a wide range of 55mm lenses from FUJIFILM, NIKON, OM SYSTEM, SIGMA, CANON, Sony, and other major manufacturers, the Tiffen 55mm CPL is a versatile, professional-grade filter that belongs in every camera bag.Foto Discount World is a Pretoria-based authorised Tiffen dealer offering competitive pricing, local warranty support, and fast delivery across South Africa.
